Accident details
On Saturday shortly after 11 a.m., a motorcycle accident occurred on road 702 near Skeda, located south of Linköping. The motorcyclist involved lost control and crashed off the road. Emergency services were promptly alerted and arrived at the scene to provide assistance.
The rider, a man in his mid-twenties, escaped the accident without major injuries but was subjected to investigation by the police due to the circumstances surrounding the crash.
Police findings and charges
Upon arrival, police officers determined that the rider did not possess a valid driving license. Moreover, tests confirmed the rider was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.
Consequently, the man is now suspected of multiple offenses, including driving under the influence (referred to as "rattfylleri" in Swedish law) and aggravated unauthorized driving, due to lack of a valid license. These charges may carry considerable penalties according to Swedish traffic regulations.
